Paris is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The French capital has fashionable hotels for millionaires and hostels for poor students. It’s not easy to pick the best option out of the hundreds of hotels in Paris. Some small rooms feel cozy, while others may just be cramped. If you want to save some money on your Paris vacation, but not end up with a disappointing room, we recommend these 10 inexpensive hotels. 

Hotel Orchidee 3*

Hotel Orchidee is a comfortable, clean hotel in the Montparnasse area. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the metro, and there’s a supermarket, a bakery and several nice restaurants nearby. The hotel has an elevator. Every room has an air conditioner and its own bathroom with new plumbing and a fan. Each room has cable TV and Wi-Fi.  Each room has a comfortable bed with good pillows, an electric kettle, coffee, tea, cream and sugar. Unfortunately, there isn’t a fridge. A French breakfast buffet is available for 15 Euros, and you can enjoy your morning coffee on a nice terrace in the summer. Pick a room whose windows open up to the inner courtyard with well-kept flowers. There is a safe, a storage area and paid parking, and cute souveniers await you in your room when you arrive. 

A 2-person room costs about 179 Euros a night. Children under two years old can stay in the room for free.

Prince Albert Montmartre 3*

This hotel is in the heart of Paris on one of the liveliest streets on Montmartre. The Sacre-Coeur cathedral and metro are just a few minutes’ walk away. The cozy rooms have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a shower and great sound proofing. Other positives are the cleanliness, friendly personnel, satellite TV, safes, irons, tea kettles, and coffee machines in the rooms, a storage room, free newspapers and beds for children. Negatives that have been mentioned by tourists include the cramped size of the rooms (a widespread problem in Paris), small problems with heating and no parking. Breakfast costs 12 Euros and is served in the hotel restaurant; you just have to give your room number.

Hotel De Venise 2*

This small, cozy hotel is in a quiet district next to the Lion train station and Bastille square and is very close to the metro. It’s a 30-minute walk to the Louvre. This family-friendly hotel is designed in the traditional French style, with nice wooden furniture. The bathrooms are small but clean, and there’s an elevator. The morning buffet is served in the dining room, where breakfast costs 8.50 Euros. The hotel has a safe, Wi-Fi, a storage room, a Xerox machine, a fax machine, and a drink machine. For an additional payment you can purchase a transfer shuttle from to the airport, as well as private underground parking (14 Euros a night). This street is full of shops and restaurants. Pets are allowed to stay for free!

The personnel are friendly, the rooms are modern with a European style, and they’re equipped with TVs and air conditioning. Tea and coffee are free all day! The Wi-Fi is fast and the soundproofing is good. The buffet breakfast costs 9 Euros and has a variety of options, and there’s also a drink machine in the hall. There’s a sweets shop nearby too. 

A one-person room costs 92 Euros per night and a family room (5 adults) is 207 Euros. Children up to two years old can sleep on child beds and children up to three years old can sleep on normal beds for free.

There are clean rooms, fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, and toiletries and a fan in the bathroom. The fifth floor has rooms with balconies. There’s coffee provided in the rooms as well as a kitchen with dishes and a dining room. There’s an excellent bakery on the corner and a restaurant nearby. It’s just a few steps away from the metro! There’s a laundromat, a dry cleaner’s, a storage room, a tour office, a safe and room service. Parking costs 24 Euros a day. There are hypoallergenic rooms with natural wooden floors available.

There’s Wi-Fi in the rooms, though there’s no parking available. There are shops and cafes nearby. The buffet breakfast costs 9 Euros. A two-person room costs 115 Euros a night. 

Child up to 10 years old can stay for free, and there are child beds for children up to 3 years old.

The hotel is just a 10-minute stroll from the Montsouris park, 15 minutes from Montparnasse, and is next to the metro. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and there’s Wi-Fi and satellite TV. You can get breakfast in your room or in the dining area for 8 Euros, and you can buy parking for 21 Euros. Children aren’t allowed to stay in the hotel.

Breakfast is included in the room price.
