The largest airport in Great Britain, and the second busiest airport in the world, is Heathrow. It’s 23 km to the west of central London and connected to the Piccadilly Underground line. 84 airlines work at Heathrow. It specializes in long distance flights, but also has European and domestic flights. It sees about 80 million passengers a year, of which 94% are international ones and only 6% are domestic.

Order a taxi to get to the city as fast as possible. You can also find cheap rental cars.

This is the second busiest airport in Great Britain. It’s 47.5 km to the south of London and you can get there on the Gatwick Express train, in a car, or on a National Express bus. Gatwick is currently used as a base for London charter flights and for the south-east part of the country. Its largest airline partners are British Airways and the cheap Easy Jet airline, which may offer the cheapest flights to continental Europe.
