Events in Paris in October

8–12 October: Grape Harvest Festival in Montmartre. A small vineyard has been preserved on the hill, producing a rare Parisian wine. In mid-October, the grapes are harvested and pressed, and a harvest festival is held. The programme of events can be found on the official website.

30–31 October: Halloween. Parisians say they don’t celebrate Halloween — but every year, pastries decorated with cobwebs appear in bakery windows, ghosts float on coffee foam, and bright pumpkins are displayed throughout the city. The most festive celebrations, however, take place at Disneyland.
