Beauvais-Tillé Airport (Paris–Beauvais Tillé Airport) is often marketed as a gateway to Paris, even though it is located 90 kilometres north of the capital. The marketing team has done a good job here: the word «Paris» in the name helps low-cost airlines sound more attractive. In reality, the airport is a half-hour walk from the outskirts of Beauvais, a quiet «gingerbread» town with a huge cathedral in the Picardy region.

Why is Beauvais Airport so popular?
Beauvais Airport has been named the worst airport in Europe several times, but the flow of tourists here never stops. After all, everyone wants to visit Rome, Stockholm, Lisbon (and 50 other destinations) for only €20 or less. Sometimes a plane ticket costs less than a shuttle to Paris.
The fact is that Beauvais Tillé Regional Airport is mainly used by low-cost airlines.
Here you can use the services of Air Moldova, Blue Air, Ryanair, Volotea and Wizz Air.
Travellers often note the airport’s drawbacks – inconvenient operating hours, queues for check-in, its distance from Paris and small information boards. Be prepared for some inconveniences, but remember that a great trip awaits you!
How to get there?
To be honest, the capital is not exactly close: the journey will take time, and it is better to plan your route in advance so that your departure or transfer does not become a stressful surprise. This is especially important if you have a night flight, as the question of how to get to the city or, conversely, how to make it to your morning flight becomes much more urgent.
By bus
The most convenient way to get to Beauvais is by Aerobus. In Paris, they depart from the stop next to the University of Paris Saint-Denis. The cost starts from €19.90 if you buy in advance via this link; the price is higher on site.
The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes without stops. The schedule is tied to flights: the first bus arrives at the airport in time for check-in, and the last one leaves after the terminals close.
By car
It is much more comfortable to get from Beauvais directly to your hotel by taxi. You can book a transfer in advance via this link. The driver will meet you in the arrivals area with a sign, help with your luggage and take you to your specific destination.
Alternatively, you can rent a car for independent travel in France right now from home (for example, here) and it will be waiting for you at the airport. Travelling by private car will make your trip much easier and more enjoyable.
By train
By the way, if you plan to go straight to Disneyland, think about how to combine the transfer and the trip to the park so that you don’t spend half a day on the bus.
Beauvais Airport closes at night
If you have an early flight or a long layover, it is easier to spend the night in the town itself – it is very close and easy to reach.

You should always arrive at any airport with plenty of time to spare — this will give you a chance to go through all the formalities without rushing and maybe even have a coffee.
- For flights within France and to EU/Schengen countries, 1.5-2 hours is sufficient
- For long-haul destinations, it is better to allow 2-3 hours
Time in Beauvais while waiting for boarding
If you were in such a hurry that you left home without breakfast, or arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare, it’s easy to find your way around: the airport is small and was formerly a military airfield, so even if you go the wrong way, you’ll only be lost for a couple of minutes at most.
There are only two terminals, and they are close to each other. One was built in 1980 and the other in 2010.
The terminals are now almost identical – each has everything you need. There are cafés in both the waiting areas (Hall public) and after security (Salle d’embarquement). You can have a coffee before check-in or grab a bite to eat in the departure area. There are also shops – Relay for newspapers, souvenirs and small items for the journey, and Aelia if you want to pick up perfume, chocolate or something stronger.
Once you arrive in Beauvais, we hope you have all your luggage with you. From here, it’s easy to rent a car and set off to explore France or visit the sights of Paris. If you wish, you can also stay in Beauvais itself: the cathedral, narrow streets and fresh baguettes in a bakery are just a couple of kilometres from the terminal.
