Is it worth going to Disneyland Paris in 2025?
Absolutely. Where else can you step inside the real Sleeping Beauty Castle, dance with Timon and Pumbaa, or fly with Iron Man and Spider-Man? Each year, 15 million visitors choose Disneyland Paris for an unforgettable family getaway – and they aren’t wrong. Every corner of the park offers a perfect photo opportunity, and the architecture looks like it’s been pulled straight from your favorite childhood movies. It’s not just a dream come true for kids – even adults find themselves caught up in the magic. You can find tickets to Disneyland here.
Buy tickets to Disneyland in advance!
Your Disneyland ticket includes access to all the park’s attractions for one day. In other words, it’s an all-inclusive pass to everything inside.
We strongly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance (see tickets at this link). Tickets are no longer sold at the park entrance. Most are issued for specific dates. If you buy an open-date ticket, you must register it here for your chosen visit date. Or you can select your date and buy a 1-day/1-park ticket directly.
You’ll also find an option here for a combined trip to Disneyland with transport from central Paris. To skip queues inside the park, consider booking a guided tour of Disneyland.

When is the best time to go to Disneyland?
The low season at Disneyland Paris in 2025 runs from November through March, excluding New Year’s holidays. The busiest months are May to August, when schools across Europe are on break – expect especially large crowds.
Weekends are always the most crowded. The best days to visit are weekdays, except Wednesdays (a day off for French primary schools).
How many days should you set aside?
Many travelers wonder how long to stay. Disneyland Paris includes two separate parks – each one deserves a full day. Adults can typically enjoy the highlights in one day, but families with children should plan to stay two or even three days.

Where is the park located?
Contrary to what the name suggests, Disneyland Paris isn’t in Paris itself. It’s located at the RER Marne-la-Vallée station, in the fifth transport zone. Reaching the park from central Paris takes 40 minutes to an hour by public transport, and slightly less by taxi.
Another option is to rent a car so you’re not tied to public transport schedules. Choose your car class and book it in advance here. For more details on getting to the park, read our dedicated article.
Where to stay?
If you decide to stay for 2–3 days, it’s best to book a hotel either within Disneyland or nearby. One big advantage: guests at local hotels can enter the park an hour earlier than regular visitors. This means more time and fewer lines.

Why stay at a hotel near Disneyland?
As noted earlier, Disneyland isn’t in Paris. Travel time can be unpredictable, especially if there’s construction on the RER line or a transport strike.
By staying nearby, you can:
- Explore both parks over 2–3 days without stress
- Return to your hotel midday if children need a nap – or if you want a break
- Rest and return refreshed in time for the character parade or the evening show
- Enjoy additional fast passes provided by many local hotels
- Enter the park an hour early if you’re staying at a Disneyland hotel
The experience doesn’t end at the entrance. Themed hotels extend the fairy-tale experience – rooms, restaurants, and even meals follow Disney themes. During special seasons, like Christmas, every room features its own miniature tree.
The only downside? Price. But often, the cost of a night at a Disney hotel is comparable to hotels in central Paris. Compare for yourself here.

You can grab a printed map and schedule at the entrance, but it’s far more convenient to download the official Disneyland Paris app. It helps you navigate attractions, check showtimes, and make sure you don’t miss a thing.
The most interesting attractions
Disneyland Paris consists of two parks with themed areas based on iconic Disney films. Whether you’re drawn to the Indiana Jones zone, Pirates of the Caribbean, or the classics like Mickey and friends – there’s something for everyone.
According to visitor reviews, the best ride is the space roller coaster in the Jules Verne area. However, many haven’t yet tried the newest roller coasters with Iron Man and Captain Marvel, which launched on 20 July 2022.
Fast queues
Disneyland Paris offers «fast queues» for its most popular attractions. With your general admission ticket, you can claim a free fast-pass ticket at the attraction. It will list a specific time slot when you can return and enter with minimal wait.
This helps manage your time and avoid long lines. In the Disneyland app, you can also purchase fast passes for any ride, even after using your free option.
Safety in the park
All Disneyland attractions are safe. In 30 years, there have only been two minor technical issues – none resulting in injury. You can enjoy your visit with peace of mind.
Since reopening on 15 July 2020 after the pandemic, Disneyland Paris has prioritized health and safety. Several new rules were introduced:
- Visitor numbers are limited
- Masks are recommended – but not required – for parades, indoor shows, and shuttle rides. Disney-themed masks are sold at the entrance
- Maintain a minimum 1-metre social distance. You may no longer hug the characters, but photos next to them are allowed
- 2,000 hand sanitiser stations are distributed throughout the parks. Use them often
Where to eat at Disneyland?
At Disneyland, you can eat, rest, and buy a variety of souvenirs – including items featuring your own photos. However, food prices are higher than in Paris, and tables at popular restaurants must be reserved in advance (use the app).
To save money, some French visitors bring their own food to the park.
Enjoy your visit to Disneyland Paris!
